IT ALL BEGAN AT THE AGE OF 7!

Fitness started early for me when my mum set up her own personal training business in the garage of our family home. Without realising, I learnt a lot about health and fitness from her.

I was still like most people though, I didn’t have a lot of drive to exercise consistently and eating healthy food just felt like a chore.

Fast forward 11 years to my late teens where I found myself still inactive and living a less than healthy lifestyle…

Then something clicked at 19 - I finally wanted to take care of myself.

So I started strength training and fast forward another 8 years and I haven’t looked back. I knew this new mindset would be with me forever.

In 2018 I qualified as a personal trainer and now I’m here as your fitness friend - the sort that everyone needs to keep them strong!

I strive to be the best personal trainer I can by providing a constant source of motivation, sound advice and effective instruction for my clients.

If you’re anxious/nervous about training then that is OK! I will always be there to greet you with a smile and will make sure you start with exercises suited to your ability and always give you easier progressions if you find a particular exercise too difficult.

Strength training is for all people of varying age and ability and there are so many benefits. The energy you put in to strength training will be multiplied in its return to you, leaving you feeling better than when you first started. Having a personal trainer is a great way to ensure minimal effort and maximum reward.

Training for strength is a way of protecting your body and improving ones ability for any of life’s en devours because when done well it improves posture, fights aging, increases muscle force, bone density, joint stability, balance and coordination as well as encouraging healthy function of organs thereby reducing the likelihood of disease.

The benefits from strength training are not only physical, strength training can improve your mental health by reducing fatigue and bettering your ability of handling fear. Nothing in your day seems quite so frightening after finishing a heavy set of 5 barbell back squats. Overall strength training will fill you with a great sense of achievement supporting you and the people around you.

As for my nutritional philosophy I think certain foods are neither good nor bad. People shouldn’t be punished or feel bad for the food they consume, but rather understand that foods have different properties that can help you in different ways to provide different outcomes. Learning the foundations of science backed nutritional advice is the best way to start feeling better about the food you are eating and allowing you to take control of your own diet and achieve the results you want.
